I was going to write a whiny post complaining about the evening and a twisted ankle, but after reading all the thankful posts on LJ, I realized that I'd forgotten what Thanksgiving is about.

Thankful for yummy food and the means to cook it, both easily accessible
Thankful that I enjoy cooking and eating
Thankful that I have skills that enrich my life
Thankful for working and having some disposable income to pay for food, housing, and toys.
Thankful for friends who keep me sane and remind me that I can have a life
Thankful for my students for meaning well and wanting to learn. All of them. Even the crazy ones.
Thankful for parents who model living a moderate life
Thankful for a brother who keeps me young and dorky
Thankful for mental stability
