Wow

I haven't sat down in a very long time. Since 7:30 this morning. STANDING FOR 14 HOURS = D: .. It's sad, I came home at 10 and was like, "I should eat dinner." "But that involves cooking, which involves standing up." "Maybe I'll have lunchables in bed."

So I did, and now my bed is full of cracker crumbs. :(, but beats standing up.

Anyway, tonight was back to school night! All these parents coming in! Organizing 2 parents and a baby sister into a seating chart! 10 minutes to introduce my class! Showing off my classroom website! Getting an earthquake in the middle of AVID class!

All in all, good fun.

Proof of being a Californian:
1) instantly recognizing a quake
2) being unbelievably blase about it.

I was like, "hmm, we're having an earthquake. I wonder if it's big enough for me to duck and cover. Maybe I'll keep talking for a bit and see." 5 seconds later, "I don't think it's gonna get any worse, but there's kids here, so I suppose I should model duck-and-covering". Meanwhile, all the parents remained standing. :)

The difference between a Californian and the Japanese apparently is the level of blase. Mostly people think the mild ones are fun.
