hrrm.. Finally stopped reading fanfics long enough to tweak out my Yale essay (which is my Stanford essay with a different head and tail). Took a total of... 30 minutes. o.O
I get distracted so easily!
Tonight I was looking at mommy's bookshelf and I found this little Chinese picture book about this Zorro movie made by some French and Spanish coalition studio, so I read it, and then, thinking about the hotness of Zorro and the eternal formula of secret identities and men in black tights, I dug out that opretta Saito Chiho manga and reread it. The three Zorro-ish guys are snobby aristocrats with messed up love lives and too much teen angst. And the translations were horrible. But Ramon was cute and nice. (re: he's not an aristocrat, one of the other Zorros stole his beloved, he took a sword stab for the same guy, and he doesn't suffer teen angst.) Then there was the story about the former prince dude with ambition and the Chinese princess with pride and the cute little former princess who changed the prince's ambition with her love... all about silly riddles and schtuff. There's a picture of the prince without his shirt and his turban, though, so Sushu was happy about that. Spotted some really nice poses and some really ucky head shots. Darn perspective. And of course since I read 2/3 of the horribly-translated Chinese manga, I might as well finish it! So I read the story about Faust and Mephistophiles (sp?) and and how the demon messed everything up but then their love (between a teenager and an old coot. ewww...) transformed him into an angel again. I got a little confused because being the confused non-religious person I am, I thought that Mephisto *was* the devil, Lucifer, but apparently he isn't. He's just one of the fallen angels, not the first? He's so hot. Now I want to read Faust.
