Thank you, Japan. You are now one step closer to Ghost in the Shell.
And now my throat is raw from yelling at kids. :/
Edited to add:
There's an interesting show on Chinese tv-- once a week, the host would pick a contentious topic, and then invite experts on the subject to come up one by one to deliver their schpiel. By the end of the program, there would be 5-7 experts debating in the forum. Sitting behind them is the audience, who have little plaques that they can wave to signify their agreement or disagreement with a stated stance. The host plays the facilitator who asks questions, picks audience members to speak, and keep tempers from flaring onstage. Sometimes it is inane discussion, but often they have interesting topics, and it's exciting to see such raw and public debate as people are forced to work through pressing issues. Tonight, they are talking about corporate donations -- whether wealthy businessmen should donate/give, and whether they deserve special recognition in a Forbes list. This then moved onto a discussion about everyone's social responsibility...
Last week they talked about Confucius. Another week they talked about realty market and property rights in China. It's quite a cute show.
Is there something similar on American tv?

I have no idea about anyone or anywhere else, but I know that yelling does not work on Chinese 1st graders. Because I couldn't out yell their homeroom teachers, so any yelling I did was just funny.

Squirting juice boxes? Wow.

American TV... well, we have American Idol. That's sort of similar, but much less edifying. Beyond that, not that I know of. :(
