Update
Meh, don't want LJ to turn into a weekly thing.
A few points of interest:
- Thursday night, hung out and made dinner Thursday night with a STEP person after the Special Needs class. (In which a Doctor-type person talked about aspies but in a confused, unhelpful, and inconclusive manner. Big gist of the talk: "look! Aspies come in all shapes and sizes! Let's not think they're weird! But let's be extra nice to them!" Patronizing much? His examples included a girl who liked pokemon and found acceptance in the anime club at high school, a boy who head his high school's robotics club. And then he says "I actually enjoy hanging out with them because I'm a geek myself sometimes." Um... thank you for implying that all aspies are geeks in the traditional sense.)
- drew a short get-well card for the![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kitsuchan, who is in hospital with a broken-but-now-have-steel-rod-through-it leg from being run over by an SUV.
- Saturday, hung out withidothattopeople and dakeeni, watched The Valet, which was really cute romantic comedy. And put my $10 Buca gift card to good use.
- Have started working on PACT. Hope to get through a big chunk tonight. Exhibition is Thursday! (If anyone curious about what I've been doing with the teaching thing, you're welcome to come. It's gonna be with my Supervisor in Los Gatos. Drop me a line and I'll give you juicy details.)
- This Friday a potential employer might come to see me teach. Eeek!
