A good day
Yesterday was fun. I met Kelly and Carrie at the Japan-town sakura matsuri at around 1pm, which was more fun than expected! We saw some koto-playing, looked at a sword display (finally saw the ear-pick that they tuck with the sword), and ate random festival food. Then at around 4 Carrie and I headed to the Alternate Press Expo. It took about an hour for us to (a) navigate there, and then (b) find parking. But 2 hours in APE was, I think, just enough. Afterwards, we went to Carrie's apartment and hung out with Graphite, her totally adorable and totally feral kitty, then spent half an hour waiting for food at random Korean place. I got home about midnight.
It was really fun hanging out with Carrie, whom I hadn't seen in about a year and a half, and meeting up with Kelly, whom I haven't seen in about a year, but feel up-to-date about just because she makes the prettiest LJ updates. Also just chillin' with Helen (6 years!) and Michael (random guy). :D Yay!
After the initial parking horror that was Japantown and APE, parking became beautiful for the rest of the evening, also yay!
