quick post
I really should have been asleep half an hour ago, but then I found laundry that I had to fold.
Anyway, today was the official first day of the Stanford anime club. Last week, it was all guys, except for one girl officer. This week, there's a few more girls. I assume they're freshmen. The club meets from 8-10pm on Tuesday nights, and it's pretty democratic. We got paper ballots where we could rank our top 5 choices out of 11, and then they showed about 5 minutes of each anime. Sadly, Ouran and Hachikuro were of the 11, and I'd seen those. So I went for MaiHime, KaleidoStar, Samurai 7, GitS I, and Haruhi Suzumiya instead. We also got to choose whether we wanted 2 series x 2 episodes or 4 series x 1 episode. But they only show 4 series per year, which is quite different from JAS. Also, no one was doing their hw, except for me. ^^;; They're just starting to build a library, I think all of their videos are legit DVDs, and aside from occasional Saturday afternoon movie screenings, the only big thing is registering for Fanime. In other words, UCJAS pwns Newtype. Actually, there are some casual event-type things. For example, they say that they can host workshops on drawing anime, subtitling, etc, if peole are interested. Which makes me think it's just one of the officers hosting the workshop, but that's kinda cute. Plus, they do have the t-shirt thing going. They apparently make a new t-shirt every year. The front says "Stanford Newtype" in a cool font, and the back just has a fan-drawn image. Nothing like the failed witticisms of UCJAS. ^^;;

D'you suppose UCJAS' move from male-domination to female-domination and its simultaneous ascent to greatness was more than mere coincidence?
Perhaps your presence will catalyze a similar cascade. Something worthwile had better come out of you cheating on JAS by fratnernizing with these prepped-out NoCal lowlifes.
