okay, parents not too happy with me right now. better to stay home tonite and finish (ha! yeah right) my Princeton app.
Watched LoR w/ Nendil. Looked at her pretty pictures & gave her ps6. (that's half the reason I went) LoR is *much* more coherent than Harry Potter, and a lot cooler, too. Even though Legolas is a bishie elven archer, he doesn't overshadow Aragorn, which is good. I am now convinced that bow + arrow can be used in close-range fighting. ::drools at the spiffiness of it all:: (The fighting scenes are awesome.... it's choreographed, of course, but one of those messy type that seems real in that everything's happening at once, and people aren't exactly coordinated perfectly.) It's also obviously targeted towards an older audience, with much more scary violence stuff like close-ups of orcs growling and heads being chopped off.
Anyway, got on car and went to Chinese doctor. Gave me a bunch of herbs and said that I have serious problems w/ my "gan" (liver) and my "pi" (dunno the english). Great. We were making small talk while he was putting together the medicine, and Father in his sly way complimented the doctor by telling me of his good diagnosis of some friends. (Of course, that also is "tao guan xi") Anyway, I was getting off topic a little. What I actually wanted to say was that the doctor told us that the best marriage (especially for the development of a child) is when the mother is in her 20's and the father is in his 30's. o.O;;
