Update
Selected observations:
- My cottage is now red with light olive trim. Go me! Also, yay dad and the 3 people at Kelly Moore that I harrassed many times per day
- The interior is slowly being decorated. I have a few posters up, and I just put up some calendar pictures of UChicago, which makes me all sorts of nostalgic.
- Stanford classes are done for the quarter! And won't start again until Sept 6th.
- my Cooperating Teacher (CT) has not returned my emails/calls, which makes me think she's still on vacation.
- I'm 13 days into my period, and I'm actually glad. It seems that being on the period gives me more energy than when I'm not, which makes me hopeful that the acupuncture is working. Also, I'm very thankful for tampons and ultra-thin pads. Plus, there's the whole "I'm so grown up and womanly" pride of buying that at Walgreens. It would be nice to know when it's gonna end, though. Right now, it's like I'm stuck on 98% of a BitTorrent file.
- Jeremy came to visit and look for houses in Santa Cruz. He came on Saturday and left on Tuesday full of Japanese food and happy apartment-ness. Cat! will be coming down with Jeremy on the 9th.
- I start my high school placement on Aug 23rd. The first class there is at 7:30, so I'll probably have to leave the house at 6:30 and that means getting up at 6 which means going to bed at midnight.
- There's recently been a set of living arrangements that are extremely pleasing to me, least of which my new swanky bachelor-shack.
- I love my car. I try to be conciencious when I drive it though, cause of Inconvenient Truth and whatnot. But it's hard, because my life/school/job requires that I drive my car. I might bike to Stanford in the future, but Santa Clara is a driving-to place. Unless I want to get up at 5.
