That should be shown as an instructional video to all American otaku before their first trip to Japan to show them what they should avoid doing that would make them look like total goofs.

My thoughts - I know all of those people. And I think I am one of them. Only not dressed in cosplay walking around randomly - you are actually not supposed to do that. I'm wearing poofy skirts instead. ;)

it's true, it's all truuuuuuue

I have this desire now to write a short comic about a group of otaku who are cosplaying at Acen, drink a bottle of bad sake, pass out, and when they wake up they find themselves in the wilds of rural Japan. They have to survive by their wits and find a way home but they are constantly betrayed by their misconceptions of japanese culture. That would be fun.
