Trip to Japan, and misc
Yo ho ho, it's the beginning of the "Sushu and Joanne goes to Japan" thingy. I've got stuff drawn up to Sunday while in Japan, which means I have 4 more afterwards, but hey, these are fun.
They are drawn with a Papermate ball point pen. Well, later I steal a pencil from Joanne to do some pencillies with, but you can tell from the first bit that I was just roughing it as I go.
I've also vowed to keep a better account of my days via LJ, because sometimes I would forget what I've been doing with my life, and due to my lack of LJ-ing, I can't just go back and say "oh!"
So..
I got back Friday, the plane from Detroit was delayed for 2 hours, so got home at 5pm instead of 3pm. Unpacked, sorted out omiyage, slept.
Saturday, woke up relatively early, opened up Word and then proceeded to chill in the internets until skit shopping time. Cooed over fabrickses from 1-4:30, and then came home to make a simple meal and procrastinate from writing paper (Joanne tried to drag me out to the piano bar downtown, but I resisted), finally started paper at around 3AM after being completely caught up in LJ reading, chatting with peoples, etc. Naturally, I went to bed around 10:30AM on Sunday, and woke up at 4:30PM. Putzed around a bit, got one page written, went to dinner with Jono + Friends at 7pm, got home at 10pm and went back to bed.
Monday! woke up at 7:45AM and thus was ridiculously early to Japanese. Afterward, went home, attempted laundry but failed, attempted shower and succeeded, had lunch of dumplings while writing Koreans for ChoMUN. Class 1:30-4:20: Shaughnessy's "Chinese Archaeology" (A- rating) and Zeitlin's "Assassins, Outlaws, and Swordswomen: Martial Arts Literature and Film" (B rating). Went to library, worked on paper, wrote some more Koreans for ChoMUN, then went to dinner with Yuanli+Parent, 8-10:30PM. Then went back to library (had ditched stuff there), failed to find ChoMUN people, and worked on paper some more. Reached the end of paper circa 4AM and went to bed.
Tuesday! Slept from 4AM-9AM, 10AM-1PM, 3PM-5PM. Did Laundry! Went to ChoMUN 8PM-10PM, finished revising paper by about 1AM.
Wednesday! Discovered that not only was I unable to hear my alarm clock (too quick on the "reset"), Joanne can't hear it either. Pwned by my own mad skillz. Missed Japanese yet again. Drew CGUses 9:30AM-12PM. Walked to campus, grabbing some free printing at Pierce, then some more free printing at the MacLab. Bought lunch, did reading, and turned in paper while walking to class. (Mad skillz x 2). Class from 1:30-4:20. (Archaeology B+, Assassins B+). Dinner with Kim, 4:30-6PM. Animekai until 11PM. Scanning in the MacLab until 1AM. Wanted to buy hot dog from Bartmart, but they're all out. :(. Went home to eat beef ramen and review Japanese. Bed at 3AM.
Thursday! OMG heard alarm! First time in 2 quarters. Yay for cell phone alarm. Early to Japanese. OMG. Wasn't too far behind. Hung around in Cobb until 11AM to wait for Sensei's office hours, chatting and eyeing my BA. Then for more scanning in the MacLab, 11:30-1:30. But now CGU uploaded, April Fool's foolishness sent to Isaac (now I wonder if it should have been in color).
And now LJ updated! Yay!
