GAH

Just hit "Submit" for the STEP App. Gah. Still wibbly.

So anyway, managed to get up for the 8:30 Japanese again. Went to the Wu Hung class at 1:30 and the Ketelaar class at 3pm. Is it horribly traitorous of me to like Ketelaar so much more than Wu? There was also my first MUNUC meeting at 8pm. In the intervening time I ate food, talked with Joanne about my personal statement, and worked on that thing. The hard part was cutting 1500 words down to <1250. So now I've got Personal Statement #1, which is a fluffy light-hearted account of my teaching experiences, and Personal Statement #2, which is a serious, borderline polemic on why we need to teach history, which then transitions awkwardly to the details of my teaching experience, which concludes with a plea for them to teach me to teach history. I tried to add references to the Matrix to lighten the reading a bit, but it's hard to do when trying to condense talk about the recursive nature of historic consciousness. And now I'm all a-wibbly from the adrenaline. I do hope that 9:30 Pacific time on Jan 3 counts as Jan 3!

And now I reward myself with sitting in front of the TV doing Japanese flash cards.

And if I have time, comic. If not, sleep.

No, because Ketelaar is a sex machine.

I simultaneously applaud your relaxed and sane approach to prioritizing and hop up and down twisting my knuckles in my underpants in anticipation for the new update.

No, but... ewww....

Good job with the personal statement. I never could write those things.
