So I was talking to my brother about creepy things and suchlike. And as many of you know, I'm an easily-frighted person and very prone to screaming, especially when people jump out from behind things or peer at me from doors. But then I remembered the thing that creeped me out since I first heard it in 1st year and that I still have trauma from was the Stairway to Heaven reversed Demonic Chant thing. I was disturbed enough by the memory to attempt to purge it. First I found http://www.reversespeech.com/home.htm , which tries to justify it scientifically, but even though I knew it was nonsense, some of it was still kinda eerie. Thankfully, I then found a helpful site http://jeffmilner.com/backmasking.htm that had examples of purposeful backmasking, but also "alleged" satanic/marajuana stuff that sounded like utter rubbish to me. All thanks to the ability to read the "reverse lyrics" after listening to it. The Pokemon rap is on there. :D Yay for silliness overcoming creepiness!

In the mean time, I came across some truly "enlightening" discussions of whether the satanic thing was on purpose, by accident, or through unconscious corruption by the Great Devil himself. Or whether it should really matter. (the answer is no, thank you)

The creepiest one is the "Paul is a dead man. Miss him, miss him, miss him, miss him." one, I think.
I like the "It is Slim. It's Eminem. It's eminem" one and "Another one bites the dust" is just plain funny. Now I have led zeppelin stuck in my head though :(
