Artsy update

Ren Xiong Comic: This was my final "paper" for Chinese Civ. Basically, it's an artist being angsty in 1850's China. It's relatively accurate. He was born to a poor family outside of Hangzhou, studied with various masters, travelled from 1850-ish, lived in Shanghai with a patron from 1851-52, and settled down to a minimal existence in Suzhou, where he married and fathered a son. He died in 1854. He was athletic and pretty good at the military stuff, he could paint in a variety of styles (his most famous being portraiture nad a set of "8 Immortals" playing cards). He had a short temper and an odd temperament (he was chased out of art school by his master for drawing ugly crippled people.)
For this, I was trying to do all b/w. As in, good for photo-copying. (We all know my inking suxxors, so it's good practice.) My pen died somewhere near the end, so things suddenly get *thinner*.... The writing is pretty crappy because I pretty much wrote straight onto the v. rough penciled layouts. ^^;;
But! On the plus side, I've written little comments to every page!

Another CGU update! (It's exciting now b/c it's live, instead of stuff I'd drawn last year) Living dangerously, I am!

if you only have 3 notebook margin pics you aren't drawing enough =P (of course if you've just haven't bothered to scan the rest I'll understand)
