For the curious (and ambitious) (and patient) Melon-pan recipe on food_porn I've never had melon pan. Is it good? Should I try to make it back in Chi-town?

On a random note, am I the only one amused by "groin groin"?

Although actually I realized that my previously posted comment (which I have since deleted) might have been incorrect pronounciation b/c I'm exceedingly tired right now.

So I deleted it.

Ohhhhhh I love melon-pan. It's chewey on the inside and sweet and crusty on the outside. Trivia fact 1: It contains no melon, not evon fake melon flavoring; it's called melon-pan because its surface is said to look like the pattern on the skin of a melon. Ooooooooohkay. Oh, you probably already knew that from the wikipedia article. But the article doesn't mention Trivia Fact 2: Anpanman's sidekick is Melon-pan girl. Anpanman is creepy. Now updating wikipedia entry... huzzah!

I would very much encourage the making of melon pan and would like to help.
