well, I must admit that while Google Maps is wonderful for functionality, virtualearth.msn.com has better quality pictures. Or at least higher zoom. And perhaps newer images. But man is the navigation klutzy. >_

There's a joke that's been going around the slashdot/nerd community. If you look at Apple's Cupertino headquarters, the virtualearth map does not have it. It's cuz they're using decade-old maps for that particular place...

The other joke is that MS decided to call itself Virtual Earth, but currently only maps the United States... pretty small Earth...

It will be very interesting to see MS and Google go head-to-head, though, and things aren't as predictable as they might seem...
