Summer Plans
Okay, so I'm trying to figure out summer plans.
1) getting a 1 way ticket back to CA is counter productive, as it costs roughly the same as a roundtrip.
2) There's various possible Things to Do near the end of summer, namely:
Aug 19-21: Otakon: Alexis will be there, along with various Chicago friends
End of August: Atlanta: Alexis has extended an invitation to hang around Atlanta for a while.
Beg. of September: DC: Joanne says she's giving the Civil War Battlefields tour, so I can go join her, and then perhaps roadtrip back to Chicago
So here's one possibility:
Chicago->PA->Baltimore->Atlanta->DC
--> I'll be in Palo Alto for 2 months, Baltimore for the weekend, Atlanta for a week, and DC+surrounding for 3 weeks or so.
--> Expenses: $203 ticket from Baltimore->Atlanta->DC, $45 for reg, I'm guessing $50 for rooming, and minor expenses in Atlanta + DC, $1-200, roadtrip expenses, $1-200.
--> Cons: Chinese School ends 9/11. End of August is really busy time for Chinese School.
Considering that, here's another possibility:
Chicago->PA->Atlanta->Chicago
I'd head over to Atlanta for a short stay after the 11th, and then head to Chicago. Or perhaps meet up with Joanne somewhere.
I'm currently leaning towards the latter choice. But anyway, need to get tickets home+elsewhere soon.
