1) It's depressing how bad my eyes are. (People: sure you don't want a 12"? Me: No, it'll be hell, it is literally impossible for me to focus on anything without glasses, yes my astigmatism is that bad)
2) sleeping on own bed tonight. Hoping to wake up early-ish
3) Thinking of trying to get 14" iBook G4 w/ combo drive for <$1000, then add $140-ish for external DVD writer (easier for going from comp to comp, anyway). Currently looking on eBay for iBook and have spotted good newegg potentiates for dvd writer.
4) going to bed now b/c brain like glue, cannot think coherently of paperage.

Check out http://www.dealmac.com for DVD burner deals (and various other assorted deals).
Also, you may want to consder getting a refurbished iBook G4 from Apple. Usually at a considerable discount (sometimes far less than even education)...and it comes with the same warranty as new. CHeck out the "special deals" section of http://store.apple.com (it's a red link on the bottom right usually).
