A good day thus far
So I woke up, helped daddy a little bit with packing stuff. Then the whole gumi (minus a few) showed up, and we went a-hiking in the Stanford foothills. I now regret wearing my Rei shoes (I thought... covered feet = no ickies. But we ended up walking on paved roads anyway). But it was a pleasant 2 hour walk, my hat kept me in the shade. :D And then I rushed home and rushed to Control Room, which was quite enjoyable. It's nice to get an objective Arab point of view about the whole Iraq war thing. I feel somewhat more informed about the various components at play, the stunts that were pulled. who actually knew what or cared, and I loved how many of the people actually there were clear-headed and thinking individuals. I shouldn't say the al-Jazeera were unbiased, but they were very conscious about their bias, and very conscious about bringing in both sides, which was really cool. Of course, the main Al-Jazeera guy was probably on 2 packs a day from the stress, but .... Anyways, I guess I'm slightly sad that the documentary stopped right after the entrance into Bagdad. Unfortunately I wasn't able to drag dad along. I think he would have enjoyed it.
Now half of me is slightly sunburnt. guh.
