(no subject)

Running on less sleep than desired (stayed up late after that post last night to read about Paris). But anyway, turns out we're arriving Wed late morning, which means we have the afternoon in addition to the evening, which means I'll probably re-plan things. I think we're either leaving Saturday evening after getting back from Versailles, or Sunday evening, if we can figure out a cool place to day-trip on Sunday... I really need to call to find a hotel... get in touch with Jess... We have free hotel in Copenhagen from July 3 to 13th, but what around there within day-trip reach? Should suggest to mommy we need a full Eurail instead of a SelectPass. Need to figure out Germany. Currently too braindead to think. Maybe time for short nap. ^^;;

Versailles

Yeah.. so Versailles...
I'll let you in on something, bring your own meal, the stuff there is ridiculously expensive! But if you do buy it, be prepared to hall it all over the place with you, and wrap it in a plastic bag, cus mine leaked all in my pack (bad memories! badness!!)

Also, there's virtually no toilets, and the main one charges you (and the pun will just have to come) out the ass. So make sure you bring some change. (And if you're smart, then you'll pack a bit of TP, cus those crazy European bathrooms are kinda sketchy with the stocking as it is ^^;;)

You'll like the beds, they're up on raised floors and they have little stair steps to climb up unto them because they're so tall. ^^

Also, the palace is only mildly entertaining, so don't bother too long with it, unless it's hot out, cus the gardens and fountains are much much cooler! (I think there's one with a big dragon in it too)

*huggle huggle!*
Have fun, the metro is dirty! ^^
(Also, Orangina. subway vending machines. get it.)

mm, orangina. If you're going to Versailles, will you come back all big-eyed and sparkly?
