Daddy wrote me a cute note with the money. Rough translation:
"Sushu.
How are you! First I present to you American dollars, 2000, please take it. I've been practicing writing with your brother. He'd use his right hand, I'd use my left. Now your mother wants me to write a few words to you with my left hand, which hopefully bringing a smile to your lips. Beyond that, it's also a message that as long as you apply yourself at something, you'd accomplish a bit no matter what. Of course, this can also be viewed as preparing for the day my right hand goes lame.

Ah, dear daddy, he's been such a sweet guy lately.... In a good mood, too, not morbid and stuff.
So, if $1300 go towards the summer payment of the room, that leaves me with enough for next 2 month's rent! W00t! I'm in part regretting letting Chang sublet the room for cheap for 10 weeks over the summer, but the girl has money issues.
Life has been resolving itself semi-happily. Semi, b/c school work and some other things less so, but socially, I'm doing all right, I think. But anyway, time to go put laundry in dryer, shower, write some paper, retrieve and fold laundry (reclaim bra! w00t!), finish paper, start on second paper.
