Hmm..."playing dead" seems a bit off, to me.

I think I'd kinda run and hide if it were a bear. If there were other people around, I'd yell "BEAR!!" and try to get the people out of harm's way. If it was a "let's plop you down in the middle of nowhere" type of survival, I'd start dealing with it. Maybe by tasting different leaves or digging for water or something.

I don't disagree with the physical beauty thing, but you've got more noteworthy gifts than that, thus I tend to think not entirely accurate. Also "playing dead" should be "sleeping."

sleeping is to deal with psychological things, not survival things. If I sleep, I might get eaten by a bear.
