okay, I think this weekend was my last splurge. I can't handle karaoke + expensive (but crappy) seafood dinner afterwards. argh. But the karaoke was fun. We both sang lots of nostalgic old songs from the 80's. (well, for me, it was all about the communist folk songs, but Kim sang songs that I recognized, too)
In terms of finances... okay, various clubs owe me some crucial money right now. Calligraphy: 60(dimsum)+70(dimsum)+30(ink)+50(tshirts)+15(dumplings)+15(dimsum) = $240. SMAC: $130. That's my next month's rent right there! grr. Yes, I'm that desperate. Actually, just getting that SMAC money back would be a great help. I just have to jump through hoops right now because the RSO finance system is a bitch.
People in love are so beautiful to look at. ::sighs happily::
There were so many cute couples waiting at the Garfield stop today!
It's funny how we live in the ghetto, but pretend that we don't. We're like that little spot of white in the black fish of the yingyang, except that it's all blurred.
I fell on the ice twice last school year. I've just filled my quota for this school year. Maybe it's time to rein in snow-crossing pavement-sliding impulses. Or maybe not. It's all about the little joys in life.
I've been swearing a lot more recently. Seems as if my temper has deteriorated.
People on the L were selling either bootleg or stolen goods. Was very interesting. A man apparenly bought an "adult" dvd in front of his wife. He was so excited that I had to hide a chuckle. The salesman also carried Barbershop 2, cigarrettes, and CD/DVD cleaner. Another guy had socks. Funny that I was vaguely interested in the CD/DVD cleaner for the many Chinese bootlegs lying about the house. The man opposite was playing with his camera cell phone thingy, so I smiled into the phone when he pointed it at me. Parents and friends always tell me that I smile at too many people and that it's dangerous. But I find so many things amusing. I guess according to them, I should stop talking to the random locals that wait at the Cottage Grove busstop.
