Here I am, staring at Semagic and trying to figure out what to write on it. Suffice to say that school has kicked back into action, although I'm actually doing all right with cutting down certain engagements. Well, at least I'm doing things that I'm more willing to do, like arrange an Eva marathon during suicide prevention weekend, helpfully prodding skit people to think skitly, and doing a lot less secretary gruntwork, which makes me generally happy. SMAC has some pretty low-key events planned this quarter, which is nice. Calligraphy Club board meeting this Sunday. I'm hoping to ditch hand over my current position to the past vice president who's now back from Vienna.

Yesterday was a bit bummy in that two of my profs didn't show. One's in Shanghai researching Confucian stuff, so it's all right, but I'm gonna have to email the Chinese Foreign Policy one.

Speaking of things to do, here's a nice list:
- email Chinese Foreign Policy prof
- email Salim and Burns, asking for final papers back (I'd like to get feedback on my first research papers, yes)
- update resume and check out Metcalf websites
- do Islamic Civ reading

tomorrow:
- go to NSP office
- email NSP teacher, and Stuart
- go to Office Depot to return Joanne's ink and get lamp. Look for ground pork.
- go to CAPS walk-in w/ Joanne
- teach Mousie Chinese
- go to cadrach and kitsuchan's D&D thing at 7, go to Joanne's at 9 to get dressed for Becca's 10pm "cocktail party"

Oh yes, I sold my bed to the temporary-but-no-longer roommate who came over from SiChuan and just found a room. For $50 cause he's moving it himself. Yesterday I marched down to the 53rd street Mattress World and got a decently comfy* twin bed (box, mattress, and frame, the whole set!) for $200 (ack!). It's being delivered Saturday morning, which means couch sleeping until then. Of course, I like the couch, so it's all good.

*as in pretty firm, not totally crappy, will last me 3 years or more
