I can see why people who have lived with snow for the past 20 years are like "eh" or "ugh", but omg, it's still such a thrill to go walking outside, once I bundle up, that is. I have now an established (though ungainly) ice shuffle, a hat and scarf combo that works, so now I have plenty of time to look at clean snow in the bushes, and to navigate the snow/ice combo. In about a week, the snow will all be dirty. Then it's ugly. But by then the pond should be thoroughly frozen over.
