excitement in Sushu's life.... (yeah, right) ... i.e. Sushu rants

gerk. woke up at 7 this morning.... decided not to go to math contest, (too early, want to enjoy early morning giddiness) worked on my lastest attempt at sequential art, decided that I can do it at school, while I can't write novel at school, so put it aside and was about to finish up the chinese section for ch.1 (yes, I'm still on ch.1) when dad decides on a family outing to the Great Mall in Milpitas to see a porcelin exhibit (very fun), and to walk around the mall 3 times (moderately fun), and to eat at the food court (wow, pizza and french fries... first time since... October last year!). Returned home with a porcelin fruit bowl (gift for someone else), a soccer ball (John wants to take up soccer. 10 to 1 it won't last 2 weeks), and one of those gymnastic dogs (another gift). Then mom complains that I need a better monitor, so dad wakes me up (was dozing on the couch, disappointed that I missed X-men), and we head off to Fry's (heaven) to look at computer stuff. Decided that windows XP isn't all that great. Have fun with a super-powerful scroller button on a Sony laptop (you can open a browser just by scroll and press), and marvelled at its removable-harddrive-spiffiness. Wanted to drag my dad over to the 3-d imaging software section, but he ignored my overtures. Came home with a 15" LCD monitor. Plugged it in. Now desk has lots more space, but desktop has to be changed to 1024x768. grr.

yay life. yay Sushu. yay rant.

lcd display.. >looks at the half of her desk that isn't taken up by her monitor< the key I think is to put things under the monitor that I don't need easily accessible.. but still.. if it weren't for the 'cutting board' (extendable desk space) I seriously wouldn't use my desk for anything but mouse activity and storage.
