Wow, considering that the last LJ I wrote was about my extra-ing, it's been a while.
Well, I got home from the extra-ing to discover that a friend who had been staying over b/c she broke up w/ her boyfriend had left because she got back together with her boyfriend, leaving a beautiful vase of spider chrysanthemums. Anyway, we went out to dinner Friday night, and sang karaoke, and all that good stuff. Saturday night was going over to Joanne's b/c her dad was there (he came to run the Chicago Marathon), so he took us out to dinner after moving in all of her stuff. I stayed the night, watching First Knight and sleeping on the couch. Sunday was trying to get dimsum from Chinatown for Calligraphy, but the Marathon kept on getting in the way, and I didn't know where the restaurant was, but Maria and I still got the dim sum, and got back in time for our first calligraphy club general meeting.
Monday there was class, and then I went to the Neighborhood Schools interview, but the guy recommended me to join a branch that deals more with technology in the classrooms. I get paid more, and I still get to work with teachers and students (maybe even curriculum design!), so I'm scheduled for another interview on Friday at 3:30. I figure, if I don't like it, I can always switch back to normal TA stuff for Neighborhood Schools. Since I'm non-work study, I can do 8 hours max per week, at $10 for normal or $12 for tech work.
Some stuff to do:
- anime club, tomorrow
- cirriculum stuff for Calligraphy club (by Friday noon)
- 2 short responses, by tomorrow 10:30
