Update on Sushu's life.... (as if anyone cared)
Chinese School got kicked out of Stanford. We're moving to Gunn, and switching the day from Saturday 9-3 to Sunday 1-5. A lot better for us... I get to sleep in every day! Woo!
Oh good, young, handsome guys who actually wear collared shirts and pants that are buckled at the waist. You don't know how disgusting some Chinese pop groups are. (80's Chinese music is the best!) Okay, so maybe I'm a little conservative, but I'd like a neatly dressed guy, thank you. (Sushu is watching a Chinese concert on the comp. VCDs that jam up the DVD drive... yay) Wow.. they make such a nice duet...
Anyway.... back to boring Sushu's life.... Lessee... having lots of fun with 3ds max.... NURBs are really cool. Not so much fun with college app stuff. I finally got all the teacher recs organized. Now I just have to hand them to the teachers and forget about them. However, I haven't written a single essay yet, which is bad, yes indeed. I have to get one done by Monday if I want anyone to look over it. erg.
And so, to encourage myself to write during my prep, I got myself another LJ, for writing purposes... Basically where Sushu can babble all she wants to an imaginary audience, then go back and pick out the good stuff. I wanted the name to be a really cool pun of "real words"/ "pillow talk", but I accidentally added an extra 'g', so now it's zhenghua, which makes no sense whatsoever. Anyway, I like the whole rant concept.... I feel better writing in LJ than in Word. weird. Maybe Word is too formal.
(okay... people are jumping in bathrobes, singing Chinese version of "Aud Lang Syne"... wait... there's nothing in ALS about monks and XiAn, right? And the singer guy looks like poofy-haired Jackie-chan in a long black *dress* and a white John Smith shirt. Oh great, here comes the ballerina girls. Crazy Chinese concerts!)
Anyway, getting back to LJ, I haven't really poked around since I got the darn thing, so I was quite surprised at the many new styles to choose from, and also at how hard it is to get a new Journal. You have to have an access number that you can get from a friend, and if your friend has a free account, s/he can only give out one access number. I guess they're just limiting the number of free accounts.
For Halloween, we're having a costume/pumpkin carving rally. I want to dress up, but am too lazy and incompetant to really make costumes. I'm considering just wearing my mandarin robe and a carry a fan, but that'd just look stupid.
Tomorrow is my brother (John) 's birthday, so we get to go down to the Tech. Yay! (It's weird how it takes me a few seconds to think of ZhongZhong's English name. We hardly use it.)
