turned in my hum paper, got my Bio quiz and my soc paper back... in one fell swoop!

Watch me splutter angrily at Soc TA's comments:
"Just because YOU don't understand the SUBTLETY of my argument DOESN'T mean I don't have one!" Apparently under the influence of March Madness, they were looking for a HEADBUTT between Mill and Nicky, or MUDWRESTLING. Not a conversation. The question was: Mill vs. Nicky on individualism: who's more compelling? Notice the word compelling. Not "who makes a better argument", but "who is capable of persuading you more". Well, Mill did. Why? Not because he made a better argument, but because he accepts the founding of society, and as a typical person living in society, it's easier to agree with him. Part of the society's mechanism for survival. Apparently "Mill and Nicky both make good arguments, but because Mill works from within society, people in society find his arguments more compelling and plausible" (not direct quote) does not answer the question, and isn't even an argument. Bah. I suck at argument.
"ideals! ideals! not ideas! And you call yourself a linguist. I'm saying ideals because they aren't just "bling! I've got an idea!" idea, Nicky believes them and works towards them. His ideas are idealized!"
okay, calm down, Sushu. breathe. Think of happy things.
Got SNACKS at Chinatown.
Mommy was here last night. We didn't get to talk too much, but it's nice to see her again.
Mommy brought VEGETABLES yesterday! qualifier: TASTY vegetables.
Even though I wasn't present, apparently everyone liked my house snack.
Why wasn't I present? Went to see Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Pretty animation. HORRIBLE dub. totally killed the characters' personalities. Okay story. Classic bishie-angst. Giant Stake-axe! XD. Don't really get the semi-ending though. (Did she die? or just turn into a vampire?) If you suffer heat stress, why do you wear black? Grove on happy drugs! hee!
