Went a-scanning...

sudden urge prompted me downstairs to dad's computer to do some scanning. (shuffling 10 ft every 5 min, yay). So here's the raw-y goodness of my sketchbook==>

http://littlelan.tripod.com/images/100001_piratechick.jpg >> Sushu-fied characters from Eitan's pending comic. Pirate chicks, fantasy, stuff. It turned out a little too Disney, (especially the guy, who looked even more John Smith before I changed his hair), and it was hard trying *not* to add shading, but yeah...

http://littlelan.tripod.com/images/090001_chick1.jpg >> there's also chick2,3,and 4. supposedly the same girl, but you can't really tell. I liked chick3 the most, and chick4 the least.

http://littlelan.tripod.com/images/100001_geishagirl.jpg >> some random character design. A travelling artisan. Dances, plays the koto, takes in previously shown chick. I did these at separate times. Only remember that the dancing one was at the Homecoming game, waiting for the floats at halftime.

http://littlelan.tripod.com/images/093001_jenny.jpg >> This is my gesture-turned-drawing. I was watching Forrest Gump, and there was this scene where Jenny throws rocks at her father's house, then trips and falls in a heap. Sushu was like "cool pose!" , so tried *very* hard to remember it, and then used her resident number 2 pencil with the bad eraser to draw it up. Tried playing with the shadow, but didn't work out too well.

http://littlelan.tripod.com/images/090001_middle-aged.jpg >> it's rare that I can draw anyone older than 20, so this is super-spiffy yay for me.

Okay, Sushu's stopped being selfish and showing off now. buh-bye!

Wow, I really like the Jenny one (that part WAS a cool pose!). Naturally Jen sucks at figure drawing and STILL hasn't taken figure drawing so she couldn't draw that worth shite-monkeys. :P
