Sports Frolic
Wow, this weekend is just full of new stuff, isn't it? Guess what? I *moved*. As in, exercised. ::collective gasp:: People who know me know I'm a very sedentary and very klutzy girl. (Remember when I'd just stand there at brunch and start tipping over b/c I zoned out?) But anyway, there's the Pierce Sports Frolic tonight, and I was there at first just for the attendance points. But then they had a general lack of girls there, and most of the events were half-half. So I was the 3rd girl for basketball (y'know, the one you send in so that the girls who *do* know how to play can take a breather) Anyway, that was fun. I think I touched the ball 7 times in 3 games. Go me! (Recall that I had not touched a spherical object since 9th grade) Then they needed girls for free throw, dodgeball, and the balloon-tied-to-ankle-and-pop-the-others' game. (Managed to pop a Shorey balloon before getting popped) So yes. Tonight, I *moved*. And now my right knee feels weird. It's funny how everyone's so competitive. But now I'm convinced that we are the most straightforward house in the dorm. I mean, we were there for fun, but some people of the other houses were just out to win. (Of course, we were also quite bitter about taking 2nd place, too.) Wasn't too successful as an inter-house bonding experience, but very much so for intra-house.
Just overheard: "Why hello Mr. Brookshaw, how are *you* tonight?" "Inebriated" XD (not "duude, wassup?" "duude, I'm so plastered" Which is what I would say if I were drunk.)

I'd be more okay with physical exertion if I get something out of it, either more energy or more self esteem or more socializing time. But since I don't, whatever. Physical exertion is detrimental. =P And for me, all of my physical action is held together and directed by my mind. (As in, if I stop telling myself to hold the pencil, I'd drop it, just like if I stop telling myself to stand and balance, I'd topple over.)
Fortunately, there wasn't any glass cups or anything for me to drop and break. Bones-wise, the last time I broke something was when I slid down a slide when I was 3 and broke my right foot.
