hrm hrm. Alan and I watched "Yin Xiong" (Hero) tonight with the Chinese grad students. Would you call it "historical fantasy?" Very GuLong-esque. Pretty decent. There's a nested flashback, and with Zhang Yimou doing the directing, you get all these over-saturated colors. Felt very Chinese-school, with the smart parents, the silly parents, and the little kids playing internet games outside...
La dee da...
A few things I learned from using syndication feeds:
1) Sometimes they don't work. That's when you find another one.
2) With patience, enough people would be using the feeds that you can add another one.
3) Friends page's post-per-page must be extended to catch everyone's posts on the first page. (especially when 20 of them are from feeds)
4) A lot of crap happens in the world. (bbcnewsworld feed). Every time I check, there'd be 10 more drastic events that happen.
5) Having Foxtrot on my friends list has been amusing to extremes.
6) It just frees up more time for mindless web-loitering
