I have determined that Chinese School is the religion of our household. Being a majorly conservative force, it enforces mechanical solidarity. However, with the increase of division of labor brought about my coming-of-age, and mom getting a job, it is slowly relinquising its hold on us. Now we shall have to depend more on the organic solidarity provided by our differing social roles. Therefore, in order to survive in our household, my brother must commence specialization earlier than I had. Of course, Chinese school still exists, but it has a much more generalized hold on us, and produces less mechanical solidarity.
