wow. finally back from Wagner! didn't expect it to take that long. One'd think that if the bus leaves at 5:30, one'd get back at 10. But now it's 12. Go me! Good thing I have nothing due tomorrow! My first opera! Quite an experience. Wagner is god. Die Walkure kicks ass. Kinda like Shakespeare with all the soliloquys and stuff. The set was all weird and modern-art-ish. Indeed, the music is the heart and soul of the opera. Also fun was trying to hear English-sounding words in the lyrics. Now want to find out about the other three of the Ring Cycle. (LotR references, too! One Ring of evil. Aragorn..)

Die Walkure would make an interesting anime... I mean, twincest, messiah figure, love... all you need are a couple of big mecha... Hee. the Valkyries as mecha.... that'd make a cool design concept...

Our revels now are ended... saying goodbye to Bucchanus and hello to Minerva. (wait, did I get my greek references right?)
