Oh dear, where did my money go... dear dear....where did my money go?

I'm broke right now. absolutely broke. Sure, there's money in the bank, but still, I can't believe I used up $500 in the past 7 weeks. Scary. Well, actually, there's still $9 on my id card for laundry and vending machine, and $8 on my CTA transit card. But still! Where did all the money go?!?

Okay,

Desktop chest: $15
Plant: $16 (>_<;;; I was quite desperate for greenery)
Art supplies for class: $32 (-.- and they're not even things I'd usually use!)
Art class Lab fee: $60 (check, though)
Bookstore misc: (kleenex, shower basket, planner, dictionary, file thing that didn't work, file thing that worked): $40
PostOffice: envelopes, stamps, postcards: $14
Chicago Sun Times: $8
Transportation: have invested $20 in CTA card
Laundry: have invested $20 in student ID
Tufts shirts: $30
Tide: $5?

Walgreens:
Halloween candy, colored pencils, hairspray: $22 (oh! roomie owes me $7 for candy!)
Whiteboard markers, construction paper, hershey's for Alice: $10
nail clipper, gum: $5
window markers, phone cord, hooks: $12

Books:
Chinese poetry book: $22
crappy manga: $10
Hum and Soc: $123
Chinese textbook: $30

Food:
Chinatown: $6
Spirited Away dinner: $9
Cereal and string cheese: $8
Medici: $8
Leona's: $5
Second City: $7
Cobb: $4

Movies/Entertainment:
Spirited Away: $6
Sweet Home, Alabama: $11
Nude Decending Staircase poster: $9
DocFilms quarter pass: $24
Mandel Hall concerts: Guarneri string quartet, Vienna baroque orchestra, Cello Sonatas. ($11 * 3 = $33)
House/Dorm Trips:
Upcoming: "Love's Labors Lost" and "Die Walküre": $30
Susanna opera that I paid for but couldn't go: $15
Second City: $5
Blues CD: $10
Anime Club: $5
Art Club: $4
UT one-acts: $5

Total accounted for: $693

o.O;;; Oh wait, that's right, cause I had $200 of my own besides the money that my parents gave me. So I used $700! Ahhhh! I shouldn't be spending this much money! geh. This is difficult, because I do want a life... I mean, if I only studied and spent what was necessary (Sat. dinners), I'd have only spent... $400. That's right, folks, spent lots of frivolous money! $300! So is it worth it? All those concerts, movies, etc... I could have just stuck to the Docfilms and still be happy.... (But! Second City! Opera! eeee!)

In conclusion:
Need to be more careful with spending, buy less things that I regret, and take more advantage of dining points. (83 pts for 35 days. Too much. must start eating 3 meals a day)

Yeah, I can feel the money quickly disappearing too. Life is too goddamn expensive! People should give students things for free! That way we would have more disposable income to spend on other things besides the things that could be free (primarily tickets).

Have fun at "Die Walküre"! (I really don't like Wagner. Period. The next two weeks are going to be hell!)

We're starting our Wagner/Ring unit... yippee. (Nibelungenlied so violent, it's funny -_-)

I practically never have breakfast in the hall, so I have way too many points left for the quarter. >.>;; Did I mention that there's like also a $0.50 overhead fee for every $1 I spend in the there?

So. Yes. Money management is important. (As is time management... ::smacks self for being online again::)
