2 online tests and 2 rants. and wasting 2 much time.

What Flavour Are You? I taste like Beef.I taste like Beef.

I taste like beef. I'm probably made of beef. You are what you eat, they say, and if the title didn't mean something else, I would be a beefeater. I think red meat is good for you. Puts hair on your chest.

I'm more of a pork person, actually.

Okay, now I get to talk about me wearing high heels. Mom recently brought home a pair of high-heeled boots, about 2-3 inches, so I decide to finally wear them to Chinese school to look more intimidating. -_-;;; I now resolve never to wear high heels unless my life depended on it. Yuck. First of all, how do you stop the noise?! The only way I can manage is to put more weight on my toes, and shake my butt more. No, I don't want that. Overall it forces me to stand straighter, wiggle my butt more, take smaller steps, and thrust the chest forward. In other words, high heels were invented by men. Joy.

I let the people who finished the test early for Chinese School go early if they wanted to, and it struck me how many people have Parents On Call (POC). You know, those parents that stay at home and whose sole purpose is to drive their children places. Actually, I'm one of the group, b/c my dad stays at home and my mom has a pretty flexible work schedule, but it troubles me to see so many kids with POCs. We are gaining time and convenience, but what are we sacrificing? Are we relying too much on parents to appear when we need them with the things that we need? Will we be less likely to leave things at home if there wasn't a POC to drive it to school? Will we be more cautious about budgeting time if there wasn't a POC waiting for us at the door?
On the other hand, it's pretty darn hard to do anything efficiently without a car these days, and until one can drive, a POC is definitely helpful. So what is the perfect balance between parents catering to one's every need, versus total independence from parents? I have no idea, but I know I don't have that balance yet.

Hmm... funny how most of my rants end up to be about my parents. You guys should be pretty bored by now.

About the high heels thing. It's so true that they must have been invented by men because there is no other logical reason for their creation. When I go shoe shopping and see the dress shoes with 3-4 inch heels I just wince. I recently got new boots with 2 inch heels (an entire inch higher than my previous ones) and I constantly feel like I'm about to pitch forward on my face when wearing them. How do other women do it!!!
