Finally

I'm caught up in Homestuck!

Getting through Acts 1-4: 2 days
Getting through Troll Act: 2 weeks
Getting through Act 5 Act 2: 2 days

But... yay Aradia! Also: Jade having force of personality!

Hurray! I hope the slog through the trolls was worth it. How are you all doing? Is the move done? Is it snowy in Stanford?

(By the way - if Jono hasn't already thrown down his hat in disgust over MSPA, I would deeply enjoy seeing a Homestuck blog post from him..)

I just got started on Act 5. I'm surprisingly enjoying the various Trolls, though god if I can remember their names.

Yay for Homestuck in general, and for trolls in particular! I like the humans and their preoccupations, and I hope they somehow defy the impossible and succeed, but I was shocked at how interesting and important the trolls turned out to be. They and the kids are all my favorite character.

When the trolls first got introduced I thought, "there's no way I'll remember all these names." how wrong i was!!

The interesting thing about homestuck is that I don't think it really comes into its full potential until about act 5, actually. The intersection of the trolls and the kids AFTER hivebent is one of the richest things I've read.

hooray for homestuck reading people! what began as a comic i really enjoy has become an obsession, and i'm glad i know more people that like it now!

Agreed on the amazingness of Act 5 Act 2 -- makes the slow going of the Troll Arc worth it!

Yeah, I just remember them by their zodiac sign. Not that I've bothered to keep up with the comic, but it's good to know the basic plot developments so I can understand posts like this.

Yeah, I remembered them first by their zodiac sign, and secondly by their typing quirk / color, and lastly by their names. But I can never keep their chat handles straight.

For example: the guy who duplicates the i's and uses 2 is obsessed with bifurcation (which is why he's so good at computers), and that's because he's Gemini (twins), which is why his chat handle is TwinArmageddons and his name is Sollux.

Haven't seen much from Gamzee and the upper casted ones yet. My favorite troll is probably Terezi, although Karkat is growing on me.

Though a little bit ago, Hussie called one of those less-seen trolls "the most important character in Homestuck!" Definitely a WTF moment for me! I thrill to his vague foreshadowings. Sadly, barring more long flashbacks, it's looking like we will never learn much more about a couple of the others. Stupid Jack Noir. :(
