As Mushu said after clanging to a stop amidst poofs of asian smoke...
I LIIIIIVE!
But seriously, you know it's bad when I haven't checked LJ in a week. But for those concerned (all 2 of you), I fell sick over Independence day weekend. 3 of the 4 days of it, at least. First it was Jet Lag, and then it was cough/cold with possible bronchial infection, and then diarrhea... It was like disease Power Rangers. Minor nuisances when alone (with their own theme song and color coordination, of course), they can floor anyone when Combined With the power of Heart. Or maybe I was like France at the beginning of WWI, kinda the "wait Germany WTF I thought I was was just chatting up Austria-Hungary WTF shit shit.... oh crap" (except with a French accent, so probably "sheet sheet... uh crepe").
I felt better on Tuesday, but then there was this ... lunch thing thing with a bunch of Chinese people (y'know, the kind with the stuff) that I had to go to.
And then Wednesday was like BAM! Work. Got up at 6:45 AM, but still got to class 10 minutes late, and only after squeezing through a random construction-fence-hole. Curse those well-constructed construction fences. But anyway, the days have been... 7:45-12:15= Student teaching at Buchser Middle school (in Santa Clara, which means :30-:45 public transit time), then rush back to campus, find lunch somewhere, then 2:15-5:10= Curriculum and Instruction class, otherwise known as "We're supposed to be 3 hrs/week for 8 weeks, but now it's just 3 hrs/day for 8 days". Then I come home, eat dinner, and do homework.
Homework has slacked off a little bit. Well, more like it's the weekend, but yes, a busy coupla days as I ease into new schedule/lifestyle!
Oh, the water heater broke Monday night, which was also interesting. But we have hot water again!
And I went to a Calligraphy class with mom tonight. Met a really cool guy there. Cool as in like, cool. Like, knew what he's about and shit.
In other news, gonna go see Wordplay at 1pm tomorrow! For some reason, I really like Aquarius as a movie theater. Maybe because there's a gelato place right across from it. :D. If you're in town and interested, you should come, too! (Come on, Bill Clinton and Jon Stewart doing crossword puzzles. Intelligent *and* escapist! In a non-tech-eye-candy way.)
