Somebody give me a house!
Okay, time for my shallow teen angst rant.
Science Olympiad always seems to get in the way of my movie watching. Yes, every time I try to watch a movie, SciOly decides that's it's unhealthy for my geekiness factor, and does its best to get in the way. I barely got to Harry Potter in time because of SciOly parking duty, and now, I get a chance to see LoR with a bunch of random people, but SciOly says, "no, Mike's house isn't available on Sunday, so we have to do it on Saturday unless you find another house." Yes, SciOly, I hear ya. But can't I just be selfish for once? Can't I just ditch SciOly and go have fun? Wipe that smirk off your face, SciOly. You know I'll cave in and go to another unproductive Engineering Meeting with 8 clueless people loitering around, but can't I have a moment of self-indulgence where I /believe/ I will go to LoR? But SciOly knows me too well, and knows that whenever I attempt to have a life and be non-geeky, it won't work out. Therefore I can't go celebrate Mao's birthday (the chairman, not the cat) and scamper around for the Ring. Ah well.
Unless.... someone gives me a house for Sunday. ::looks hopeful::
