I never pick up the Phone

In case anyone was under the illusion that calling me is faster, it's not.
- my phone is either: in my coat pocket (60%), on the nightstand (30%), or charging (10%).
- my coat is either: off (50%), on but far enough from my body as to not sense the vibrations (25%), on but with my hand in the pocket so I can feel the phone (25%)
So chances of me hearing/sensing the phone is 15%. Plus I'm often in class when that happens, which knocks it down to 10%.

Now if you send me an email...
- I check my email at least 3 times a day.
- I'll read the subject line (100%), the gmail snippet (95%), and the email itself (80% if not from mailing lists).

Now, recently I just made mistaked a "reply to me" email for an informational email, but usually I'm pretty good about these things. The speed of the reply is inversely corollated to the amount of effort involved in the reply, both in thinking time, schedule clearing time, and typing time.

Oh wait, my phone is on silent for some reason. No wonder it's been especially futile today. ^^;;
